Just take a look at these:
DANG, those are cool-looking! In fact, they inspired me to create my own. I don't really know what I created , but it was spur of the imagination thing so I decided to just go with it. Yeah, I know I'm not as good as those guys above me, but I had fun nonetheless. Besides, I think it actually looks pretty cool, no?
Which brings me to my point...
Colored pencils are great for any type of artist because the images that they create are so... soft. It's not messy or annoying like paint, it's semi-erasable, and mixed colors and textures add to the composition's overall feel. But when you're growing up you don't think that way. When you're growing older, colored pencils can't make art; you decide that they're only for three year-olds who can't color inside the lines. With age comes wisdom, and with wisdom comes a more open mind. Colored pencils take you and never look back. They take you to strange new worlds, colorful and bizarre, and that's why I plan to draw with them more in the future. Just let me grow a little more, first.
